Guests looking to check in on wait times will be delighted to find that there’s a new digital tip board at Disneyland Park! While Walt Disney World guests are probably used to this sight, this is actually Disneyland Resort’s very first digital tip board.
For a digital board, it looks surprisingly good in person, with the digital elements (font, bracket design, color scheme) fitting in perfectly with the Main Street aesthetic and its surroundings. It doesn’t take you out of the nostalgic feeling of Main Street, and it’s calibrated to not be super bright, making it easy to read.
(Despite the dark spaces, board looks perfectly fine in person… it’s just the screen refreshing.)
Screens show wait times, show times, and currently open restaurants.
Soon, this serene, dual display will be showing a cool 600 minutes for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
The new digital tip board is located in front of Plaza Inn. The Guest Relations podiums (where the old Tip Board used to reside) are still there, at least for now. Guests can get assistance with FastPasses, Disability Access Services, and have any questions answered at these podiums.
What do you think of the new digital tip board at Disneyland Resort? You could say this tiny, nostalgic park is taking a huge leap into the future. We’ve yet to see if a similar digital tip board has come to Disney California Adventure yet, but we’ll let you know as soon as soon as it does!
