REVIEW: New Wish Granted Donut Arrives at Sunshine Tree Terrace at Magic Kingdom

Our wishes are coming true with this brand new “Wish Granted Donut” that has arrived at Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland at The Magic Kingdom.

We first heard about this diamond in the rough treat the other day as part of a brand new line up of Disney themed treats coming to the Magic Kingdom now through June.

The donut costs $4.99 and offers exactly what it says on the sign: a glazed donut coated in gold sugar and topped with a chocolate lamp piece and blue cotton candy.

For replicating the image on the sign, the donut is almost identical to the one that we got. This doesn’t often happen.

Although the cotton candy isn’t as light and wispy like the photo, this donut still looks just as appetizing.

The chocolate piece with the magic lamp imprinted on it goes perfectly with the blue cotton candy representing the Genie awakening from his 10,000 year slumber, even if it does give one a crick in the neck. The gold sprinkles on top of the glazed donut really add that extra touch of sand from Agrabah, or the gold from the Cave of Wonders. Either way, this donut is themed perfectly to continue getting us excited for the live action version coming out later this month.

As far as flavoring goes, this is still a standard glazed donut with some added flare. If you’re looking for a quick themed snack in the morning, this is a neat way to go and will look great for your Instagram pictures. But sadly the flavor isn’t as adventurous as Adventureland, where you can find this treat. If you are generally OK with Disney World donuts like the Mermaid one, you’ll probably like this. A New Yorker or Los Angelian will probably take some issue with eating a pastry made with Florida water.

Will you be having one of your wishes granted the next time you’re looking for a sweet treat in Magic Kingdom? Let us know in the comments!
