The parade of new merchandise continues unabated within Disney Parks, as we discover yet another delightful ear headband offering. Brand new Little Mermaid themed ears have arrived in Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and World of Disney, just in time for summer.

Little Mermaid Ear Headband – $27.99

The latest addition is a charming, if subtle, creation, celebrating Disney’s restless flippered heroine. The color scheme and accoutrement are perhaps more muted than a number of recent releases (see Magic Carpet ears), though this beautiful band makes a fitting statement in honor of the outspoken Ariel.

Purple and gold clamshell ears represent Ariel’s signature swimsuit top. Though, when you live in the ocean, is it called a swimsuit, or is it simply a top? Anyway, a sea-foam bow accompanies and brings the band together. The bow is adorned with semi-opaque sequins, rather than the now more typical sparkly glitter, presenting, again, a more subtle, under-the-sea feel.

The ocean-blue outer band features a flowing Ariel silhouette on one side, with the phrase, “Mermaid Hair Don’t Care,” made popular by previous Disney hats and headbands, on the other.

The band is lined in pastel blue velvet, lending comfort and style for the earnest Disney enthusiast.

Little Mermaid Ear Headband is currently available at The Mad Hatter (both Disneyland locations), Seaside Souvenirs, Five & Dime, and the Downtown Disney District World of Disney. Grab them. Love them. Then don’t be surprised when Disney releases seven more in series, all far more sparkly and bangled than the last. Be proud. Yours will be classic by the end of summer.
