REVIEW: Limited Edition Peanut Butter Dream Sundae from the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor at the Magic Kingdom

It’s a beautiful, hot day here at the Magic Kingdom and we’re craving something cold and creamy. Luckily, the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street, U.S.A. has us covered with a new limited edition offering called the Peanut Butter Dream. This specialty sundae sounds like exactly what we need on a day like today, so let’s dig in!

This sundae is going to be epic. Peanut butter and chocolate lovers, rejoice! This sundae is a heaping portion of peanut butter cup ice cream, served on a peanut butter brownie. Of course, it’s topped by hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry. Oh, and don’t forgot more chocolate and peanut morsels. It’s a beauty.

It’s a nice-sized portion and would make a great treat to share while hanging on Main Street waiting for the parade. The mound of ice cream and large portion of brownie makes this a nice treat for your money. This treat will cost you $7.99, but we also noticed that you can substitute the peanut butter brownie for a waffle bowl for $7.49. Either way, this is a winner.

One of the best parts of a sundae from The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor is the hand-scooped ice cream. The peanut butter flavor to the ice cream was rich and creamy, but we never encountered any actual peanut butter cup pieces in it. We would have liked a little more fudge, though. The chocolate flavor from the fudge was perfect with the peanut butter ice cream, but there just wasn’t enough.

The brownie was unbelievable soft and really brought this whole treat to another level. The peanut butter flavor of the brownie wasn’t overpowering, thankfully. It gave the perfect soft and chewy texture to compliment the ice cream.

The new sundae has a lot more flavor than the previous monthly sundae. Since this is labeled as a limited edition offering, make sure you make your way over to the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor at the Magic Kingdom soon. The Peanut Butter Dream sundae definitely earns the “dream” in its name.

  1. Hey can you ship one of these up to New Jersey? =D That looks amazing! Hopefully the limited time lasts through my trip back to MK in Nov!

  2. Meh. It needs to be the other way around. Should be chocolate ice cream with peanut butter topping. Other than that, looks/sounds tasty!
