This morning marked the release of the latest addition to the Disney Parks Designer Collection, an ear hat featuring Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse as Steamboat Willie. It seems there has been some back and forth, as well as confusion on the release, however.
Earlier this morning, the ear hats were listed as sold out on shopDisney around 7:30 AM (EST) before showing as back in stock around 8:30 AM. Now, it appears that a drastic price discrepancy was also listed. When posted this morning, the ear hats cost $78.00, but it appears the ear hats were originally meant to retail for $48.00.

HEADS UP!! The pricing for the new ears was incorrectly set to $78 this morning. If you bought one and paid $78 contact Disneyland Merchandise (877) 560-6477 for a refund or go back to the store with your receipt for a refund. Thank you Christine for the heads up!💖 I’ve just been informed ShopDisney’s cart system also had the glitch, here is their number: (800) 328-0368. ◽️◽️◽️ #GothicRosie #DisneylandInformation #DisneylandNews #Disneyland #DCA #DisneylandResort #DisneylandMerchandise #DisneylandEars #DesignerSeriesEars #DisneylandPricingErrorDesignerEars
Even those purchased at the resorts were priced incorrectly.
On shopDisney, the ears are now listed as costing $48.00. If you purchased a pair during the “price surge” at $78.00, please contact shopDisney Guest Services or Walt Disney World or Disneyland merchandising. Alternatively, you can also bring in receipt to participating stores for a refund.
Have you been affected by the price discrepancy? Or wiill this impromptu “sale” lead you to finally cave and buy these ears? Let us know in the comments!
