Today is the last day before Beaches and Cream Soda Shop at the Beach Club Resort closes for a 3-month long refurbishment. The location is getting a much-needed refurb, but we really hope it doesn’t lose all of the vintage ’50s soda shop charm we’ve grown to love. We decided to stop by this morning to pay our respects (and grab some ice cream), so enjoy a little look around!
The entrance to the table service side of Beaches and Cream is to the left of the podium.
To the right, you’ll find some of your favorite ice creams to-go.
The ice cream lamps are some of the cutest features inside.
The booths are cute, but there are only 3 in the entire restaurant.
The location is very small, and there aren’t too many tables, either.
Sitting at the counter can be a great place to watch all the action.
We have to stop and appreciate the colorful floor tiles, too.
The colorful Juke Box is another favorite feature in the restaurant.
Be sure to check out our video tour of Beaches and Cream from today:
The refurbishment is set to last about 3 months, but we’ll be watching and waiting for Beaches and Cream to return.
Until then, I guess we’ll just have to find somewhere else to get our ice cream fix. Luckily, Beaches and Cream should be opening a temporary location to serve us until the refurbishment finishes, so stay tuned!
“The Fountain” at Dolphin would be your best bet for ice cream, shakes, and burgers. It is just as good, if not better, than B&C….but without the charm of buzzing pagers
