  1. Wow, I thought my stress for dining reservations was over 4 months ago… let’s hope this page loads soon!

    • It was running at about a 15 minute delay last night at 10 pm Eastern. I’m just happy to have a dual monitor set up. My wife yelled up to me in my office to ask me what was taking so long. I told her that I was being held hostage by an animated GIF of the Millennium Falcon.

  2. If you make a reservation, but then there is a virtual queuing system, do they just let you in because of your reservation, or how does that work?

  3. It’s funny how Amazon can keep their website running smoothly through Prime day, but Disney can’t handle the traffic just to make restaurant reservations. I was able to grab a reservation to Savvi’s (the only one left for our trip in November), but Olga’s is long since sold out.

  4. Tried for Olga’s on October 31st and nothing was available. Tried again two more times and finally availability came up for 3:25 PM. So don’t give up even if at first there’s no opening.

    • Yep – I tried for Savi’s workshop last night, and while it told me one day of my vacation week was available, it then told me that all times were booked. Tried again this morning and found availability for my preferred day. Also was able to make reservations for that same day at Droid Depot and Oga’s, though its gonna be a loooong day!

  5. Sadly, I didn’t learn that the reservations had opened until 7 hours after the fact. Tried for reservations for Oct 14th thru Oct 26th for all three time slots for every day and came up empty. :(

    • I was on his morning and got them for 10/12 and 10/18. Keep trying. We couldn’t get them last night but they were there this morning.

  6. I want to thank you for showing and explaining a lot of things at WDW. I’ve been there several times since it opened at the very beginning. I’ve been a Star Wars fan for a very very long time, I do dress as a Jedi at costume events, Star Wars Celebrations and I’m looking forward to seeing & hopefully riding the Falcon at Galaxy Edge, getting a Holocron, possibly some Jedi things & maybe the blue milk. I am concerned about several things. I used to do Star Wars Weekends when they happened and they were a huge amount of fun because you could see all of the characters that made up the Star Wars Saga. Hollywood Studios was extremely busy during these weekends. With Galaxy Edge, we’re supposed to look forward to being immersed into the Star Wars World on a planet and place very few know about. I myself prefer to be an observer and not immersed, till I get used to things. I know until Disney decided to do this “Star Wars Land” I had no idea what Batuu was and to be honest I’m not interested in it as a place. I wish they would have done Mos Eisley since we know what and where that is. I’ve been watching the youtube presentations to get myself prepared for what I will see. I’m partially handicapped and I will be on a scooter. I’ve already found out I won’t be able to get a reservation into Oga’s Cantina because it’s already booked for the time I will be there. I want to see Star Wars things that I’m familiar with and I would like to see all the Saga characters around Galaxy Edge doing meet & greets. The only character I’ve seen that is of interest to me Chewbacca. I know R2 is at the Droid place. At this time I’m not interested in building a droid, as I have a few at home already or building a lightsaber since I have several of my own and Jedi will not be doing the helping—plus the cost factor and I’m not sure whether saber’s hilts will work for my hands, as I have arthritis. I have no idea where the Gatherers came from. I’m not looking forward to seeing Storm Troopers everywhere or the 1st Order–I wasn’t too fond of the Empire either. I’m looking forward to seeing everything and yet anxious about all of this as well. I know that you might tell me the 2nd ride the Rise of the Resistance is coming— doesn’t thrill me too much, yet if I get a chance I’ll ride on it to see how it works out for me. I hope it works out. I have very much hoped that I would see a lot more Jedi in the new films and at Galaxy Edge. This is the 1st place I’ve found that I could make a comment about my concerns. Maybe in the future we will see what I’m looking for but I’m not holding my breath. The future is always in motion.

May the Force be with you

  7. What a mess! I managed to score a reservation for 10/4, but even dining reservations at the resorts and Disney Springs get shunted through the “Star Wars” interstitial page. Nothing like having to watch a graphic of the Millennium Falcon for 15 minutes before you can make a breakfast reservation at the Kona Cafe in the Polynesian. You are not allowed to use the app for it – only the website.

  8. I have to assume that Savi’s and Droid Depot will not be available during the extended magic hours starting at 6am since you can’t book them?

  9. USE MDE ON PHONE!!!!
Someone tried to make a Savi reservation using the My Disney Experience app on their phone and it worked. I just tried on my phone for the Droid Depot and not only did it work, but there were lots of openings.

  10. I’m going to have to admit I’m shocked. Very happy but shocked all the same. I attempted to get into Oga’s cantina while I’m at WDW during my birthday and when I did, for each day and every hour I was told no tables were available since it’s so new it didn’t surprise me but I was hoping. Well tonight after I got home and was checking WDW things out I thought well I’ll look again at Oga’s and see if I can get in. The Force was very much with me as I was able to get a reservation in the evening of my birthday and I will be able to actually celebrate my birthday in Star Wars–wish I could wear my Jedi but I know that’s not allowed. Last year I did it in Pandora—I love Flight of Passage. I won’t say my age but I’m a lot older than many of you and Star Wars keeps me young and moving, especially since I’m Jedi. For those of you who are still attempting to get a reservation please remember patience and keep on making the effort. The Force may be helping you as well.

  11. Tried this weekend and couldn’t get anything for the time we are there, first week of November. Nada, zilch, zippppp! Same for the Pirate Experience. I didn’t think THAT many parents took their kids out of school on such a random week. I figured the week of TG and all the weeks in December but the first week of November? We’re only doing it because our daughter is in Kindergarten. After this year we wouldn’t think of taking her out of school for a trip. Then again, we hope to be living near WDW by then!

  12. Anyone know why Savi’s Workshop is booked solid the first 2 weeks in December? Lots of availability before and after but those two weeks are just greyed out.

    • You saw that too?!!! I think something may be wrong. I can’t imagime those days being completely booked! I hope that not true because I really want to take my kids there and that’s when we are done there.
