The Casey’s Corner Fried Pickle Hot Diggity Dog is available in regular sized dogs or the mighty foot long. We opted for the regular sized dog today for a light lunch. The regular dog served with fries is $11.99, or $9.49 without the fries.

The dog comes piled high with toppings. Green peppers, red peppers, and green onions stand out among the shredded cheese and chipotle ranch sauce. It’s all topped off by a beautiful row of golden fried pickles.

There were 3 large slices of fried pickles lining the top of the dog. It really is a beautiful sight when you’re hungry.

If you’re planning to try this dog, be aware it’s got a lot of peppers. And by a lot, we mean a ton. It really should have been called the Red and Green Peppers Hot Diggity Dog. The peppers are a little overpowering. As someone who loves peppers, even I had to pulled a few of them off the hot dog to be able to taste any of the other flavors happening here. The chipotle ranch and cheddar cheese have been featured on a few previous dogs and have always been a winning combination.

The pickles were pretty good, too. They were crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Sometimes fried pickles can be too soggy or too crispy, but Casey’s Corner got them perfect!

Overall, this Fried Pickle Dog is a little heavy on the peppers, but definitely worth a try, especially if you like fried pickles. Will you be heading over to Casey’s Corner to try the latest monthly dog?
