REVIEW: Earth Eats at Epcot International Food & Wine Festival 2019

Welcome to a Marketplace Booth review for the 2019 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, taking place in the park from August 29 to November 23, 2019. This review will cover the Earth Eats kiosk located in the Culinary Corridor located behind Club Cool in Future World West. This one-stop shop for fresh juices and plant-based foods returns with an all-new menu for its third year as part of the 2019 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. You’ll also want to note that last year’s cold-pressed juices are gone and have been replaced with kombucha on draft. (Note that the menu prices do not include tax!)

*NEW* Impossible™ Cottage Pie: IMPOSSIBLE™ Ground Meat with Carrots, Mushrooms, and Peas topped with Mashed Cauliflower, White Beans, and Mozzarella – $5.00

Earth Eats2

The Impossible Cottage Pie has lots of mashed cauliflower on top, and it could use more of a crust for some texture. You have to dig down pretty far for the “meat”, which isn’t ideal for a dish like this. It’s a very heavy meat pie, even though it doesn’t actually have meat. The texture is a little off in the impossible meat, but the taste is there.

The IMPOSSIBLEâ„¢ Burger Slider with Wasabi Cream and Spicy Asian Slaw on a Sesame Seed Bun (V), $5.00

There’s a lot going on with this one. Those unaware of the recent infatuation with the IMPOSSIBLE Burger, let’s catch you up to speed. The company selling these burgers has made them entirely vegan, but they taste like meat, down to having the ‘bleeding’ effect that a medium-rare burger would have. Fortunately, this one is well-done and doesn’t have any juices flowing from it. The spicy Asian slaw and wasabi cream on top adds a great kick to bring the stale burger to life.

suja® organic kombucha Flight – $6.00

Earth Eats4

*NEW* suja® organic kombucha green apple – $4.00

This kombucha is not as sweet as you would expect. It reminded us of your typical apple cider you would get from an orchard on a fall day. Crisp and refreshing.

*NEW* suja® organic kombucha pineapple passionfruit – $4.00

The Pineapple Passionfruit was the sweetest of the three. It tastes very artificial when it comes to the pineapple and passionfruit flavors.

*NEW* suja® organic kombucha ginger lemon – $4.00

First off, on the nose it has very strong lemon & ginger scents, it could probably cure your cold if you are under the weather. This tastes exactly how it smells. A strong taste of lemon and ginger linger on your palate. It may distract you from fully enjoying whatever food dish you decide to go with.
