Good morning from the Magic Kingdom!
We caught this beautiful sunrise between the express and resort monorail beams, just as we were getting off the monorail.
Here we are at the entrance to Main Street, U.S.A. One of the trains is stationed for guests to see as they enter the park, they can also go up to the top of the station and view it from there.
The lamppost Mickey jack-o-lantern is one of the telltale signs that its Halloween time at Magic Kingdom!
Here is one of our favorite Halloween decorations at Magic Kingdom, the Main Street pumpkin scarecrows!
First stop, the Main Street Emporium. Today, the newest item we found was this Stitch stretch headband. This headband joins a series of others that include Buttercup from Toy Story and Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc. The retail price of these headbands is $19.99.
Continuing over towards the Main Street hub, we stopped to check on the ducks. No trip to a Disney park is complete without at least one duck encounter!
Obligatory castle photo. Early morning… the best time of day for one!
On out way over to Fantasyland, we ran into Mary Poppins herself. This was as she was on her way over to her meet and greet at the gazebo adjacent to the Crystal Palace Restaurant.
Next up is Fantasyland. Behold… the sword in the stone. As reported last week, due to significant entertainment cutbacks, The Royal Majesty Makers are one of the many entertainment offerings coming to an end within the next week or two at Walt Disney World.
Speaking of entertainment, we ran into these two boneheads while visiting Fantasyland. Here we found Anastasia and Drizella having a debate over the proper use of the words “garnish” and “varnish” when referring to nail polish… Needless to say, this went on for awhile!
Construction on the new Liberty Square Market area remains untouched from yesterday. No wonder it takes forever to finish things around here…
It’s always nice to be able to stop for a quick hello at the Haunted Mansion! Moving along to Frontierland…
One of the most underrated places at Magic Kingdom, located in Frontierland, is the Prairie Outpost & Supply. Let’s take a peek inside…
This store is basically a Main Street Confectionery lite. They have all your favorite Disney prepackaged sweets, as well as select baked goods that would otherwise be available on Main Street, but at a much less of a wait!
Before we headed over to Tomorrowland, we had to make a pit stop at the Sunshine Tree Terrace to say hello to Orange Bird!
As we reported recently, the Tomorrowland Astro Orbiter was still up and running as of today. This came as a surprise after it had been down for a lengthy refurbishment.
They’re baaaack… unfortunately, it is now officially Love Bug season, part two.
Time to check in on the work going on inside the Mickey’s Star Traders merchandise location.
As you can see, the store is still partially closed off with a construction wall. Hopefully this ends soon, as it completely interrupts the store’s theme.
On our way out for the day, we stopped at Uptown Jewelers on Main Street, aka the art store. Here, we found this new Jim Shore Nightmare Before Christmas figurine featuring the Mayor, Jack, Sally, Lock, Shock, and Barrel all going for a ride in the mayor mobile. Retail price is $80.00
That just about sums up another visit to Magic Kingdom, thank you for reading and check back soon for another report from WDWNT!
I really enjoy these. I just sayin’.
