While visiting Epcot this afternoon, we noticed some big changes around International Gateway. We recently spotted the new bag check structure and such over the construction walls, but today we got an even better look at the crew gets closer to finishing the project.

The bag check and turnstile structures now have canopies.

We can even see that the bag check tables have already been installed. These look like permanent additions, and can be seen covered in plastic bags still.

In the picture above, we see that touchpoints for entry are starting to be installed as well.

It looks like a crew has also been working on adding some landscaping around the outside of the fencing.

From another angle, we can even see the lights are already installed and functional.

With the new Disney Skyliner opening soon, this entrance to the park will sure to see a lot more visitors. We’re excited to see the new security and bag check in action, so stay tuned for more updates!

  1. Great so now it’s going to be a nightmare if you are staying on the Boardwalk because of the gondola traffic. The whole reason to stay on the boardwalk is to avoid the main entrance crowds!
