It’s officially September which means we’re getting closer to the opening day of the Disney Skyliner across the Walt Disney World Resort on September 29.
While making our way through Pop Century Resort, one of the resorts that will have a Skyliner Station, we happened to stop in at the Everything Pop gift shop to find some brand new Skyliner merchandise.
Mixed in with the other fan-inspired buttons, we spotted a brand new set specifically for Disney Skyliner!
These brand new buttons cost $9.99 and feature Mickey and Minnie enjoying the magical view of the world below them, just like guests will soon be able to do at the end of the month.
The first one shows off the gondola high in the sky with Mickey and Minnie’s silhouettes peeking out at the world below. “There’s Magic in the Air” as our favorite pals ride above and get to take in the sight of Epcot and Hollywood Studios below them. We can see the silhouettes of Spaceship Earth, the Eiffel Tower in World Showcase and the Hollywood Tower Hotel below as their gondola soars over these beloved attractions.
The second button features Mickey and Minnie with the background featuring a web of various gondolas and the Skyliner logo mixed within. The navy background makes everything else stand out, making it look like Mickey and Minnie are looking out their window at the “world from above” in the cutout.
We couldn’t help ourselves after buying these buttons to show them off to the future Skyliner Station in the middle of Hourglass Lake, nestled between Pop Century and Art of Animation.
We can’t wait for the Skyliner to open and to see if there really is magic in the air. If you’re looking for Disney Skyliner merchandise but aren’t a fan of the large buttons, keep an eye out for limited edition trading pins coming out later this month. Maybe you’d prefer a glass blown gondola ornament featuring your favorite characters instead. Either way, Disney is sure to have all the latest merchandise for the Skyliner coming out the closer we get to it’s opening date.
