REVIEW: New Fall Pumpkin Treats Bring Basic to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

Hello and greetings from Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, which is exactly the last place you’d ever expect to find anything Fall-inspired, given that it’s perennially summer here.

In any case, there are few other places where soft serve tastes like a true delicacy and where snacks take on a whole new level of sustenance after swimming in the wave pool. Let’s check out three of the new Fall-inspired treats now available at Typhoon Lagoon for a limited time.

Pumpkin Sundae – $5.49 (Happy Landings Ice Cream)

The Pumpkin Sundae at Happy Landings Ice Cream features vanilla soft-serve ice cream and is topped with your choice of caramel or hot fudge sauce, whipped cream, fall sprinkles and a pumpkin spice cake.

To me, no trip to Typhoon Lagoon is complete without some soft serve from Happy Landings. Add some fall sprinkles to the top, and some spice cake, and I’m all for it.

While most people would consider this a basic addition and not much different than your typical sundae here, the spice cake is soft, moist and perfectly gingery, and pairs well with the ice cream and warm syrup.

The point is, I’m now trying to fit another trip back to Typhoon Lagoon for this sundae before Fall ends.

Pumpkin Cream Churros – $5.89 (Lowtide Lou’s)

A delicious twist on a classic Disney snack, the new Pumpkin Cream Churro is rolled in cinnamon sugar and filled with pumpkin cream.

Do keep in mind that there was no signage at Lowtide Lou’s for these, so you’ll have to ask and hope that they have them.

That being said, these were served perfectly warm and drenched in cinnamon sugar.

If you’re in the mood for pumpkin spice churros, you can rest easy knowing you can pick up a set after a ride down the lazy river.

Pumpkin Milkshake – $5.69 (Leaning Palms)

Now we head over to Placid Leaning Palms, where you can find the pumpkin spice milkshake.

If you like pumpkin spice, you will love the all-new Pumpkin Milkshake at Leaning Palms. Topped with whipped cream and colorful fall sprinkles, this milkshake makes for the perfect seasonal dessert.

Out of all the treats, this one had a very overpowering pumpkin spice flavor. Unlike most shakes here, it didn’t have as thick a consistency as usual.

It’s not bad if you’re really into pumpkin spice, and are okay with overly sweet milkshakes. In any case, it’s nice to have another milkshake flavor to choose from, and they always hit the spot here.
