It’s time for Disney Halloween at Tokyo Disney Resort! And one of my favorite parts of any Tokyo Disney Resort event is the array of snacks and food items available! In this series of reviews, I’ll be detailing every single new snack and counter-service item. It’s very hot and humid still at Tokyo Disney Resort, and it’s nice to unwind with a nice drink and take a break with this heat!
And at Sebastian’s Calypso Kitchen, they’re serving what has become my favorite drink of the season! So, dive under the sea and take a taste test of the new Pink Grapefruit & Grape Drink!
Pink Grapefruit & Grape Drink – ¥400 ($3.71)
Sebastian’s is mostly a pizza place (although the calzone is excellent). I love this counter-service location particularly because it’s indoors, and the Mermaid Lagoon indoor land is simply beautiful!
I love this presentation already! The drink is primarily made from Calpis/Calpico, which is a light, milky drink with a taste I still can’t describe. On the bottom, there’s grape jelly. These cups are so cute, and the ombre effect from the grape’s dark purple to the pinkish Calpis (presumably from grapefruit flavoring). on top. Unlike most mixed drinks, like the Mango Citrus & Tapioca Tea drink, it tastes absolutely fine without being mixed together. You just get the two individual flavors, but they’re both great on their own!
Mix them together, however, and you get a very nice flavor balance of grapefruit and grape (leaning toward the latter), which tastes incredibly refreshing on a hot late-summer/autumn day! I absolutely recommend taking a break in Mermaid Lagoon with this delicious drink! It takes a wonderful top-5 spot in my favorite Halloween treats this year!
