Good morning from Disney’s Animal Kingdom! It’s a bright sunny day, and we’re ready to see what’s going on around the park. As Russell says, “The wilderness must be explored!” Let’s get going!
Construction walls are still up to the left of the Tree of Life. The walls are concealing the ongoing refurbishment work on the Winged Encounters show area.
This Frozen 2 Elsa snow globe is now available at Island Mercantile. It plays one of the film’s new songs “Into The Unknown” and retails at $69.99.
Young Anna Funkos are now available as well, for $14.99. You can check out the full Frozen 2 Funko collection here and get a look at the complete Frozen 2 Fan Fest collection here.
Over at Pandora, the landscaping was being spruced up a bit.
Stryker, one of the Pandora Rangers, was training in his Exo-Carrier Utility Suit as a crowd gathered outside of Satu’li Canteen to watch.
On our way to Africa, we noticed lots of changes happening at the Harambe House construction site. Harambe House is going to be the location for Animal Kingdom’s Club 33. Construction walls have been place in front of the building to block guests’ view as they travel from Harambe Village to Pandora. We also spotted construction workers on the rooftop.
We headed over to Asia, where we ran into our favorite thirteen-foot tall bird Kevin.
Kevin was looking for his pals Russell and Doug from the film Up, but was a little apprehensive to cross the bridge into Asia.
It took some coaxing from his handler and some encouragement from the crowd, but Kevin finally made it across the bridge!
Kevin wasn’t the only animal showing off in Asia today. The residents of the Maharajah Jungle Trek were lively this morning.
Birds of a feather flock together… especially when it’s feeding time.
We made our way to Serka Zong Bazaar and discovered a new Christmas ornament. The Everest Ornament is filled with recycled tinsel made from actual oxygen cylinders left at the top of Mount Everest. This unique ornament costs $16.95.
Well that about does it here at Animal Kingdom! Thanks for following our day!
