Verizon has announced that new and existing Verizon Wireless unlimited customers as well as new Fios and 5G home internet customers will be offered one free year of Disney+. This is a huge coup for Disney in the competitive streaming landscape as it will net them millions of early subscribers to try their service with the option to renew (for a fee) at the end of the free year.
Offers like this are common for companies trying to gain a strong initial user base, which is imperative to long term success in highly competitive industries. Apple TV+ offers a similar deal for those buying a new select Apple device, offering one free year of Apple TV+. You can check out the existing offers for Verizon Wireless on their page.
Disney+ launches November 12th for $6.99 a month with Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu bundles costing $12.99 a month.
Great now if only Verizon had good fios coverage. They stopped rolling it out here almost 6 years ago.
This comes at a great time, been looking at cutting the cord once Disney+ rolls through with their Hulu offering and a Digital Antenna for the local network football games. Fios ha sa better internet only deal than Optimum, so this all bundled together sounds perfect to try out for a year.
Hopefully, Disney will also start having more phone covers for Samsung users
Ah sure, but for those of us who committed to Disney+ for three years, will FiOs tack on the free year before the paid subscription starts?
Turns out the answer to my question was found on another website:
If you are a Verizon customer and have already pre-ordered Disney+, you can still take advantage of this offer! Your pre-order will simply be paused until the Verizon free offer ends, at which time your pre-ordered subscription would come into effect.
In a word, yay!
Well i don’t think so i am gonna get it as i am living in UAE :D Here we have all the same opportunities with DU. Check it out in the link ;)
