Disney+ Averaging 1 Million Subscription Sign-Ups a Day According to App Data

According to research by Apptopia, Disney+ has been downloaded around 15.5 million times since its launch earlier this month. In the roughly two weeks since launch, Disney+ has made around $5 million on in-app purchases. Disney+ has also been ranking #1 overall on the United States iOS and Google Play app stores since its launch.

Disney+ signed up around 10 million subscribers in the first 24 hours of launch and the momentum has continued. Comparing this subscriber count, Netflix has around 60 million subscribers in the United States and 97 million internationally.

Also, according to Apptopia, Disney+ had around 25.6 million daily viewing sessions in the past week. This research showcases that Disney+ could prove to be a strong streaming service competitor with the rapid pace of subscriber signups.
