PHOTOS: “Jambo!” African-Inspired Christmas Decorations Arrive at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Jambo! This morning, we decided to check out the Christmas decorations over at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Our first stop? Jambo House!

Jambo House

As you drive up to the main parking lot, the sign for Jambo House is decked out in colorful garland.

At the valet and guest drop-off, garland accents dot the support beams outside.

Resort guests are greeted by a massive Christmas tree in the grand lobby. It reaches several floors high and features various African-inspired details.

How beautiful are the detailed ornaments on the tree?

The balconies of the walkways upstairs are also adorned with lit garland.

The reading room off to the side features a quiet place to relax, accented by two smaller Christmas trees that frame the large windows outside.

Going downstairs towards the Savanna viewing, we see two more smaller trees.

Boma has gotten into the holiday spirit too, with a Christmas tree by the check-in desk. Each of the pillars inside also features garland.

Across the hall at Jiko, a large tree sits next to the wine cooler.

Zawadi Marketplace has gotten decked out in Christmas lights as well, thanks to some colorful trees and garland both outside the store and inside. Even the window display outside features a Christmas tree.

Kidani Village

As guests arrive at Kidani Village, the valet and drop-off area is similarly decorated with garland and wreaths for the holidays.

While not as large as its sister tree next door, the Kidani Village Christmas tree is no less beautiful in its detail.

Further details include garland outside the Kidani Village store and the small Christmas trees by the DVC lounge fireplaces.

Downstairs at Sanaa, the entryway and waiting areas have also been spruced up with Holiday cheer.
