Hooray for the holidays! Over at Disney California Adventure, all types of festivities are occurring. From Buena Vista Street to Pixar Pier, there is something new for everyone. Take a look at all the park updates and holiday cheer!
Esplanade
From the Esplanade, we were greeted into the parks by the Festival of Holidays decor above the Disney California Adventure entrance.
Buena Vista Street
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas on Buena Vista Street. Everything is decorated with green and red, ’tis the season!
The walls that were originally at the entrance of the park for the Red Car Trolley are now gone. While this part of construction may be done, the track over by Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout is now surrounded by walls.
Without the walls over here, it gives much more breathing room for people leaving or entering the park.
One of our favorite street actors, Fifi, was out today, luring guests in with her stories about all her wild adventures.
She informed us that her current living quarters are above the store, Julius Katz & Sons, while she rests before her next extravagant venture.
I mean, look at those curls!
Five & Dime is still preforming daily on Buena Vista Street. Catch this show to see some spunky jazz performers sing tunes from the golden age of Hollywood.
Over at Big Top Toys, a new mouse has joined the knit plush crew.
While Steamboat Minnie has been available in Florida and online, she can now be purchased for $27.99 at Big Top Toys off of Buena Vista Street.
Add this mouse to your collection!
Over at Trolley Treats, we were able to check out the fun dangling ornament wreath that has been draped from the ceiling.
Above Clarabelle’s Ice Cream Shop, you can see a piece of green garland. Garlands now line most of the shops on Buena Vista Street.
Christmas Mickey over at Disney California Adventure is giving us all those old Hollywood feels.
Crowds started to roll in around 1 pm. Many people lined up by the Christmas Tree to get a fun picture.
Donald was also meeting guests in his festive Christmas scarf.
Over at Willie’s Churros, guests lined up to purchase a sweet treat.
Welcome to Grizzly Peak!
While Grizzly River Run has been dealing with some technical difficulties over the past few days, everything was up and running well today.
For volunteer day over at Disney California Adventure, guests were able to create keepsake badges for Inside the Outdoors teachers and students.
The Fab Five were happy to help!
Guests sat around waiting for the Holiday Toy Drummers to make their appearance.
These four drummers played classic Christmas tunes on their drums while weaving in humorous pranks between each other.
If you have time in the parks, this show is quick and entertaining.
Over in Pacific Wharf, we were able to catch a showing of the Mariachi Divas.
This group of ladies performers celebrates the season with their signature repertoire of catchy bilingual holiday tunes!
Even Baby Yoda was interested. Kids can dance along and play bells with the Mariachi Divas themselves.
There was quite the audience for this show.
Pixar Pier has no holiday decorations up yet.
Walking around Pixar Pier today was not comfortable. Crowds were high, and it was hard to steer through crowds on the bridge. Once we got over to the Incredicoaster, it was a little less congested.
The wait was only 25 minutes around 2:30 pm.
Howdy, cowgirl!
The Wall-E Space Race carnival game is under refurbishment.
At the Pixar Promenade, Joy and Sadness met with guests. Bye-bye, Sadness.
Toy Story Midway Mania sat at 75 minutes at 2:40. This ride remains one of the most popular rides in the parks.
¡Viva Navidad!
Over in Paradise Garden Park, you can celebrate the holidays with your three favorite birds, José Carioca, Donald Duck, and Panchito Pistoles.
For the ¡Viva Navidad! celebrations, you can also meet with Elena of Avalor!
Across the way, you can also meet with Mariachi Goofy!
Paradise Gardens Park
In front of the bay, the group, The Sound, was performing live acapella holiday music for guests
The facade for The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure has seaweed garlands curling up the sea-green pillars.
Cars Land
We received a warm welcome from the snowman car this afternoon.
Over at Sarge’s Surplus Hut, Sarge has dressed up his Christmas tree in red, white, and blue, naturally.
Ciao from Luigi’s Casa Della Tires!
This holiday season, you can ride the Christmas overlay of this attraction, Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl!
You can board your own trackless vehicle and listen to Luigi sing some jazzy holiday tunes.
Over near the entrance of Cars Land, you can ride Mater’s Jingle Jamboree.
This overlay is just a change in music for the attraction as well. If you love listening to Mater sing about how much he loves the holidays, this is something you should check out this season.
From Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, you can see the structures for the upcoming MARVEL land, Avengers Campus.
Even with the Holiday overlay, the attraction only sat at 15 minutes.
