Originally scheduled to debut at the parks and on shopDisney on November 12th, the all-new MagicBand Slap Bracelets have arrived early at Walt Disney World, and we’ve got a first look at the full collection for you. The initial collection features slap bracelet designs inspired by Orange Bird, Stitch, Mickey & Friends (from new animated shorts), and a Frozen 2 Limited Release. As far as structural design goes, the bracelets are wrapped in silicone-type rubber with raised designs, and each RFID Mickey puck comes embedded inside a themed, interchangeable icon slider. Let’s take a closer look at the designs that are currently available:

Many readers have asked us how the RFID Mickey pucks work on these, and it’s kind of a two-for-one deal with this design as you get the slap bracelet band and an interchangeable icon slider, which means you could potentially attach these to your Apple Watch or other watch band, much like the sliders that are typically sold in many Etsy stores.

We purchased and tried one on for research purposes and found the bracelet to be surprisingly secure. The bracelets feature magnets at each end to keep the band in place.

What do you think of these new MagicBand slap bracelets? While cute, we didn’t really expect these to be practical, but our band tester mentioned that they actually prefer the feeling of this to the usual MagicBands due to how much easier and more practical they are. Do note that these aren’t as long as the usual MagicBands, so they may not fit large wrists as well. If you’re looking to get a pair of MagicBand slap bracelets of your own, we found these at The Darkroom in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Let us know what you think of them!

  1. The olaf one those leaves looked like blood. I was horrified there for a second!! I saw the one side where he’s in pieces with what looked at first like blood everywhere. Seriously Disney, way to start my day off with a ghastly image….

  2. Misrepresentation by Disney! Not really magic bands. Bought these and linked to our account only to discover they will not link to a resort room. So really only good for park ticket no room or charges. AND if course no refund. Guest Service was decidedly unhelpful as OBVIOUSLY the solution is just to carry two magic bands. Warn your readers.

  3. I love the Mickey Slap Magic Band!
Olaf looks like he’s getting slaughtered on the Frozen band, he’s in pieces with a trail of rusty red blood? It’s hard to make out it’s leaves.

  4. I actually can’t figure out how to connect it to my account if someone could lend some help that’d be greatly appreciated
