PHOTOS, VIDEO: Christmas in Toy Story Land and the Return of Santa Gertie to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for 2019 Holiday Season
Yesterday, we saw the first wreaths grace the boulevards of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While the Echo Lake Christmas tree had finally made its big debut (literally, it’s huge), we all know it isn’t really Christmas at Studios until Santa Gertie arrives. Today, we noticed a slew of new decor around Toy Story Land, as well as completed touches along Hollywood Boulevard. Let’s take a walk around the park and take in the holiday splendor.
The center wreaths have finally been added to the garlands lining Hollywood Boulevard.
The wait is over and Santa Gertie has finally arrived! She has on a Santa hat and a Christmas ornament dangling from her mouthful of ferns.
Together with the large Christmas tree, Echo Lake is finally in full holiday swing.
The umbrellas lining Echo Lake also have some fun garlands on them and are topped with golden stars. Between the green fabric and the ornaments, they almost look like Christmas trees.
Over in Toy Story Land, Woody has on his weird flat Christmas scarf once again. Across the land’s entrance marquee, themed ornaments hang from a garland.
There’s a Buzz Lightyear themed ornament, as well as a Woody’s Roundup themed one:
Angel Kitty has also returned, framed by gilded macaroni art.
Over at Woody’s Lunchbox, there’s a garland featuring larger-than-life kernels of popcorn and fresh cranberries. It’s a shame they didn’t thread some Babybels on there.
And of course, no holiday would be complete without this giant iced Hamm cookie.
Remember these Little Green Men ornaments from last year?
Yeah, you could say they’ve seen better days. The new Souvenir ID Tag and Pressed Penny machines that were moved here now completely block them.
Don’t leave Toy Story Land without spotting the amazing Rex, now with cardboard antlers and hoisting up string lights.
Santa is hanging off some fire escapes over in Grand Avenue.
It seems he’d rather have milk and cookies set out for him than have to eat at PizzeRizzo. (I don’t blame him.)
