We may have just celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, but that won’t stop us from enjoying even more traditional holiday meals of ham and turkey, with all of the fixings. So, let’s dig into the American Holiday Table booth at EPCOT’s 2019 International Festival of the Holidays where we can “enjoy a seasonal salute—dig into traditional dishes reminiscent of grandma’s cooking at the American Adventure Pavilion.”

Slow-Roasted Turkey with Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans and Cranberry Sauce – $5.75

Served with stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans and cranberry sauce, this is classic American holiday food and tastes great when combined into a single bite. The cranberry was especially prominent without being overpowering.

Hand-carved Smoked Ham with Green Beans and Sweet Potato Casserole – $6.00

Hand-carved Smoked Ham with Green Beans and Sweet Potato Casserole – $6.00

Served with green beans and sweet potato casserole, the ham has a great glaze and is rather succulent. Though the green beans weren’t bad, it was the sweet potato casserole that stood out.

Chocolate Pecan Tart with Whipped Cream and Whisky-Caramel Sauce – $4.50

Chocolate Pecan Tart with Whipped Cream and Whisky-Caramel Sauce – $4.50

With whipped cream and whisky-caramel sauce, this tart is your answer to pecan pie at the Festival. With an excellent crust and plenty of cream, this is worth your time.

*NEW* Gingerbread Cookie – $2.50

*NEW* Gingerbread Cookie – $2.50

This little gingerbread cookie is very soft, with a lot of gingerbread flavoring. However, the icing was a bit crunchy and hard, which was not a good combination when combined with such a soft cookie, and there’s hardly any icing on the cookie to begin with.

Although the cookie is super soft, that’s about all it has going for it. You can find many variations of a generic gingerbread man cookie all across Walt Disney World Resorts, so we recommend maybe getting your gingerbread fix elsewhere. If you do decide to indulge here, make sure to grab a drink with the cookie, because you’ll want one after eating it.

Hot Cocoa – $3.50

*NEW* 81Bay Brewing Company Cinnamon Cranberry Orange Wheat Ale, Tampa, FL (5.8% ABV) – $4.50

81Bay Brewing Company’s Marketing Director, Jason Silah, provided us with this information: “This American style wheat ale combines the tangy taste of cranberry with sweet, spiced oranges. [It’s] brewed with orange peel, coriander, cinnamon and cranberry.”

Shipyard Eggnog White Porter, Clearwater, FL (6.5% ABV) – $4.50

Head brewer Robert Baker provided us with this information: Also known as Straight to the ‘Noggin Eggnog Malt Beverage (due to state regulator requirements), Shipyard Eggnog White Porter “is loaded with flavor. It is full-bodied and has a wonderful silky, creamy texture. The aroma of nutmeg, mild spices, and sweet malts go Straight to the ‘Noggin. The perfect beer for any holiday party.”

*NEW* Playalinda Brewing Co. Peppermint Chocolate Porter, Titusville, FL (5.3% ABV) – $4.50

Regional White Wine – $7.00

Regional Red Wine – $6.00

Holiday Beer Flight – $9.50

Cocoa Candy Cane: Hot Cocoa with Peppermint Schnapps – $11.00

Cocoa Candy Cane: Hot Cocoa with Peppermint Schnapps – $11.00

This hot chocolate has a lot of peppermint kick to it. Compared to some of the other drinks we’ve been trying throughout the festival, this one definitely doesn’t skimp on the flavoring.

Cocoa Candy Cane: Hot Cocoa with Peppermint Schnapps – $11.00
Cocoa Candy Cane: Hot Cocoa with Peppermint Schnapps – $11.00

We really like the addition of the marshmallows on top though, which adds a bit of childlike nostalgia to a grown-up version of this drink.
