Grilled Lamb Kefta Kebab1
Grilled Lamb Kefta Kebab and Grapes with Euro Cucumber, Red Pepper, Pickled Pearl Onions and Harissa-Cilantro Dressing – $9.00

The Grilled Lamb Kefta Kebab is delicious. The red sauce on top is very spicy, which we didn’t expect. If you don’t like spice, we recommend that you skip this dish. The Cucumber and Harissa-Cilantro dressing under the kebab tastes nice and cool, which we thought helped balance the spice from the sauce on top.

Grilled Lamb Kefta Kebab2
Grilled Lamb Kefta Kebab and Grapes with Euro Cucumber, Red Pepper, Pickled Pearl Onions and Harissa-Cilantro Dressing – $9.00

We enjoyed that the pita was very fresh, which really added to the overall quality of the dish. For $9.00 it’s a little pricey, but we do think it’s a quality dish that is worth the buy if you like the combination of ingredients.

Confit of Chermoula Chicken Drum with Cinnamon Granny Smith Apple, Toasted Almonds, Brussels Sprouts and Pinot Noir Glaze – $8.00

Confit of Chermoula Chicken Drum with Cinnamon Granny Smith Apple, Toasted Almonds, Brussels Sprouts and Pinot Noir Glaze – $8.00

Served with cinnamon Granny Smith apples, toasted almonds, Brussels sprouts and a pinot noir glaze, this confit chicken isn’t overly interesting by itself, but the apple and glaze makeup quite a nice flavor combination and, with how it’s plated, this is a great dish for two.

Sfenj: Warm Beignets, Cream with Cinnamon Sugar, and Chocolate Sauce – $5.00

Sfenj: Warm Beignets, Cream with Cinnamon Sugar, and Chocolate Sauce – $5.00

With warm beignets with cream, cinnamon sugar, and chocolate sauce, this dessert meets buttery expectations, but the portions are a bit small when you take a look at the other baked offerings available in the France pavilion.

Casa Beer (5.0% ABV) – $4.50

Nomadic Distribution describes Casa Beer as having an aroma of “light musk and hints of sweetness,” with a taste of “malts and nuts. Crisp and slightly dry. Pleasant, sweet undertones that [linger] on the tongue.”

*NEW* Bonassia Red Wine ($9/bottle) – $6.00

Groupe des Boissons du Maroc describes Bonassia Red Wine as having a “beautiful dark garnet hue. The elegant and very open nose offers aromas of cherry and blackcurrant. On the palate, this wine is balanced, fat and full-bodied.”

The Andalusian “Poinsettia” Cocktail: Sparkling Wine, Orange Liqueur and Cranberry Juice topped with Orange Blossom Water – $9.00

The Andalusian “Poinsettia” Cocktail: Sparkling Wine, Orange Liqueur and Cranberry Juice topped with Orange Blossom Water – $9.00

We got this item last year and it’s returned this year. Made with sparkling wine, orange liqueur, and cranberry juice topped with orange blossom water, this cocktail lived up to its name. The flowery taste comes through nicely, but it got to be overly sweet after just a few sips.

Walnut Spiced Coffee with Walnut Liqueur and topped with Cinnamon and Whipped Cream – $8.00

Walnut Spiced Coffee2
Walnut Spiced Coffee with Walnut Liqueur and topped with Cinnamon and Whipped Cream – $8.00

The Walnut Spiced Coffee was very bitter, which is to be expected for a strong Moroccan coffee. We did think that the whipped cream helped a lot to cut the bitter taste, but that can only do so much.

If you don’t like really dark, strong bitter coffee, we recommend that you skip this drink. Otherwise, this might be a nice drink for those with the palate for such a beverage.
