The holidays are in full swing around Disneyland Park and the Hungry Bear Restaurant is getting into the spirit with a pumpkin spice cheesecake funnel cake and a snickerdoodle cold brew.
Snickerdoodle Cold Brew – $5.99
Who doesn’t want a giant cookie plopped right into their cold brew? The cold brew itself was a classic cold brew that we enjoyed. It is topped with frothy foam that has a bit of a sugary cinnamon taste to it that when mixed together made this a very enjoyable drink.
The snickerdoodle cookie was great on its own as well. For the price, we enjoyed this. Cold brew drinkers and snickerdoodle lovers alike should be pleased. There are even some star shaped sprinkles on top if you look real hard.
Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Funnel Cake – $8.99
We are loving the Mickey shaped topping! However, our love stopped there. You know when you try to mix too many things together and it just doesn’t work… this is what we have here. We would have preferred a well done, simple funnel cake, or even a well done pumpkin spice cheesecake.
For the price, this is a huge dessert that many could split. Unfortunately the pumpkin spice cheesecake “sauce” was weird. It didn’t really taste like pumpkin spice, it didn’t really taste like anything we could recognize actually and left a bitter taste. It also had a strange texture.
We did like the vanilla ice cream and mixed in some whipped cream but the strange cheesecake sauce was a fail for us. Did you give this a try? Let us know in the comments if you had better luck.
