Christmas is coming early for Star Wars fans. If you’ve blocked off an hour of your life for the next few Fridays to watch newly released episodes of “The Mandalorian”, do keep in mind that there’s an upcoming schedule change for the release of Chapter 7, the penultimate episode in the 8-part series.

To accommodate for the cinematic release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on Friday, December 20th (early screenings start that Thursday), Chapter 7 of “The Mandalorian” will air on Wednesday, December 18th. The episode will include an exclusive sneak peek of The Rise of Skywalker to elevate the hype for the long-awaited movie even further.

(We’re unofficially taking submissions for this latest Baby Yoda meme.)

The announcement also mentions that the episode will be released at a new time, so it may be possible that the episode might be delayed past the usual early morning release time.

The synopsis for Chapter 7 reads:

“An old rival extends an invitation for The Mandalorian to make peace.”

The still used for the preview shows Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, a former governor under the Empire whose life changed in the wake of the events of Return of the Jedi.

“The Mandalorian” has been green-lit for a second season, so once the season finale airs on December 27th, we’ll just have to wait for more. Will you be tuning in that Wednesday or looking to avoid spoilers? Let us know in the comments.
