You’ll be Jungle-ing all the way with this new Jingle Cruise Tiki Mug that’s just arrived at Walt Disney World.
Trader Sam has imported an unusual tiki design from the islands to celebrate the holiday season. The decorative nutcracker got a new native look, complete with a holly-topped hat and a boat wheel. We half expected him to be a deeper red color, but it’s more of a warm reddish coral color. The mug also features a high-gloss glaze finish.
On the back, you see the traditional wooden lever featured in most nutcrackers… except the only thing you’ll be lifting is this mug, to make a tropical tiki toast to the holiday season!
A closer look at the base of the mug, plus some more details:
This is the first mug of its kind, noted by the 1st Edition inscription on the bottom… which means we may be seeing future editions of it in the coming years. The mug retails for $40.00 and includes one of the following drink selections:
You can opt for a Mele Kaliki Mai Tai, a Tropical Snowstorm, or a non-alcoholic Jingle Jammer.
Wristband distribution began this morning at 9:00 AM over at Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace. Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto opened at 1:00 PM for guests to redeem their wristbands for the highly-anticipated mug! There is a limit of 1 per guest, with no discounts available.
If you’re looking to get your own Jingle Cruise Tiki Mug, we’re happy to announce that wristbands are still available, and as of time of publishing (~2:45 PM), there are plenty of mugs still in stock.
You can also say Mele Kalikimaka to the ornament version of the mug, now available at the BouTiki in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort:
The fully sculpted tiki ornament features similar Nutcracker styling and a ”Jungle all the Way” title on base. The faux wood ornament also has a satin ribbon for hanging.
The ornament retails for $24.99 and was also available via shopDisney, but appears to have sold out online.
You can check out a detailed review of the mug, plus get a look at all the fun holiday decorations up inside Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto in the video below!
