PHOTO REPORT: EPCOT 12/30/19 (New Year’s Eve Preparations, Damaged Pathways, Construction Work, Fireworks Barges, and More)

Good morning from EPCOT! It is the day before New Year’s Eve, so the park is bustling with activity! Let’s go check it out…

In the entrance to the park, new PhotoPass angles were being tested out by cast members.

In Future World, we noticed more damaged walkway tiles have been roped off. Construction work in the area has broken pathway tiles repeatedly throughout the process.

Landscaping work next to The Land and Imagination! continues to progress.

From above, works were on site while new utility lines were being placed.

The Manatees were out in The Seas with Nemo and Friends this morning.

“Mr. Ray, why are we in school before New Year’s Eve?”

Inside Mouse Gear, prep work for its coming move across the breezeway was visible in the form of wide open spaces.

It admittedly felt very weird to have so much open room to roam about the store.

Outside Test Track and Mission: Space, more damaged tiles were roped off.

Work continued outside of Space 220 today on landscaping and utility lines.

Over by Test Track, more construction work is happening near the former donut cart site.

White fencing is finally in place along the water for tomorrow’s New Year’s Eve crowds.

The EPCOT Christmas Tree has been removed already, replaced with red begonias in the planter.

Divers were once again spotted in World Showcase Lagoon, preparing for the upcoming HarmonioUS nighttime spectacular.

Workers were also present on one of the islands.

Outside of Mexico, numerous switchbacks were in place ahead of the expected near-capacity crowds that will be waiting for rides tomorrow.

A large line was in place over in Norway for glow ears, bubble wands, and 2020 glow glasses.

Less than an hour after World Showcase had opened, the line for Frozen Ever After stretched outside of the attraction’s entrance.

Over in China, the work to finish the New Year’s Eve lighting and dance party stages is complete.

This large dragon looms large over the area.

Inside Germany’s Karamell Kuche, one of the display case’s lights were not working.

Over in America, the American Adventure was once again down, likely thanks to construction work on the Regal Eagle Smokehouse next door.

This pin trading board has to be one of the cutest ones we have seen in the parks in quite some time!

People were lining up inside Morocco for the opportunity to race through the desert.

The fan-favorite giant tent now comes with a fashionable hat, apparently!

Inside the United Kingdom, lighting is finally up for tomorrow night’s party.

That does it for our visit to EPCOT. Stay tuned for the latest parks news from around the world.
