Construction work in EPCOT’s Future World has been moving quickly. We stopped by for an update on the latest work going on at the site.
As we arrive to the former Pin Central, we noticed some more panels missing.
Some of the support wires are also covered in orange material.
The former Club Cool and Starbucks location is literally a shell of its former self.
It won’t be long until this is all completely gone.
In the breezeway, black coverings block the view into the inside.
From the back, guests can see the artists rendering of the future layout of EPCOT as the demolition work continues.
From the monorail, we can see multiple backhoes and cranes at the site.
Work is progressing on removing the back side of the building now that the Food & Wine Festival has completed.
Over by The Land, green construction walls are up obscuring the ongoing work on the landscaping.
A lot of land has been cleared, and while we aren’t 100% sure what will come of this work, we will keep an eye on the site in the future.
The past meets the future…
The former Fountain of Nations site is completely unrecognizable now.
Over by the Play Pavilion, more renderings are up on the walls.
Land clearing is continuing outside the entrance.
The fencing for the Play Pavilion extends all the way to Mission: Space.
Work on the Guardians of the Galaxy ride is continuing.
The entrance to the ride still looks bare bones, despite the work on the exterior looking near completion in some areas.
We can see new panels being added to the roof of the ride as well.
Work on the restrooms behind MouseGear is continuing to progress, with walls inside being removed to expose support beams.
The former garden area behind the MouseGear back entrance has been completely leveled.
Newly expanded walkways have been poured as well behind MouseGear.
It looks like these pathways should be completed soon, so we may have new access walkways to the Test Track area in the near future.
