It’s been a while since our last update on Guardians of the Galaxy – Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT. We haven’t seen very many changes to the exterior of the building recently, but we’re still keeping a close eye on the progress. We thought we would give you a quick look at the current situation over at EPCOT.
The roller coaster storage building on the back of the former Universe of Energy pavilion is being enclosed now.
Work out here has been progressing slowly, I guess there’s still 22 months left to go at the least…
As we approached the side of the building, we also noticed some wooden framework on the ground as well as what appear to be pieces of rebar.
The white portion of the building really pops against the darker blue and orange panels, but it’s not the finished product. There are a few openings along the side which look large enough for possible doorways.
There is still a lot of work to be done. Most of the ground is dirt, and we can see the front of the building is still open and relatively empty inside.
The area directly in front of the building has also been cleared out and just a few pieces of equipment are scattered around. It’s possible they’re clearing out this area so work can finally commence on the entrance area, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
Be sure to keep following WDWNT for more updates on this and other projects happening around EPCOT. Are you excited for this reverse-launch coaster to open in 2021?
Thank you for not posting an update everyday like you do for Tron
