If your arrival at EPCOT involves parking over on the left-hand side of the lot, then you should be aware of the latest changes to the entrance over on this side. While the first phase of the park’s arrival experience opened back in late October, construction continues over on this side of the park, meaning there will be numerous changes in traffic patterns leading up to its opening.
Usually, guests would follow the old sidewalk over to the security tents by the monorail line, but with that area closed for construction, the path now diverts, going around and through the middle of the old tram path.
Currently, hedges line the walkway leading to the security screening area on this side. Guests are walking on new pavement here.
A small new paved pathway has opened up, which is where guests traverse now.
The path then merges into the existing entrance area.
All along the right side, you can see fencing where construction is taking place. A number of temporary metal barricades are also set up along the pathway.
Current construction in the area can be seen jutting out from over the hedges.
The second tram loop is nearing completion.
You can see some of the new light fixtures installed along the other side of the rolling planters. This area will eventually become the second tram stop and turnaround station.
A concrete barrier is already in place, as is pavement.
We expect this second tram loop will open soon at EPCOT.
