Today in the Magic Kingdom, the Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. (at the exit to Space Mountain) debuted a new personalized shirt design lab for families to come and create customized apparel to wear around the parks. We’ve seen this section of the store morph over time, with it housing benches, robotic massage chairs, and recently just empty space, but it seems now they’ve decided to extend the store’s merchandising capabilities with a special kiosk.

The “Design By You” customized shirt lab features panels of bright colors in classic Tomorrowland hues of blue, teal, purple, and gold. You can tell by the wrinkling at the corner of the panels that this is, for now, a temporary installation, but we think it adds a nice splash of color to the store.

Some creepy mannequins are on display featuring one of the tee designs in sizes for the whole family. If you look closely at the wall behind them, you can see the gear and blueprint motif that’s used throughout Tomorrowland.

Current designs include Star Wars, Minnie, Mickey, Stitch, Orange Bird, Walt Disney World, and the current Holiday 2019 styles. While some of these designs are available on shopDisney, some are exclusive to the “Design By You” kiosk as well. Some designs, like the seasonal ones, will change periodically.

Once you have selected a design, it’s time to customize. You can write in your family name, but there are character limits depending on the design.

You can pick between Adult tee, Womens tee, and Youth tee sizes, with the Womens tee offering a scoop neck instead of the classic crew neck style of the Adult tee. Pricing for the shirts ranges from $29.99 for Adult tees, $39.99 for Womens tees, and $24.99 for Youth tees.

Sizes for adults range from Small to 3XL.

Once you have your design down, you can add different variations of it to your cart with some simple steps. It’s nice that they thought not to make you go through the whole design process again.

There are various ways you can get your shirts once they’re printed. There’s package pick-up at the front of the park (so you don’t have to go all the way back to Tomorrowland), next day resort hotel delivery, and shipping to an address. Shirt orders submitted by 5:00 PM are available for same-day pickup.

You input your name and number in case there are any questions or issues with your order, then you print your receipt ticket to take to a register for payment.

Once you finalize payment, your delivery time and location will be finalized by the Cast Member at the location. There are also plenty of Cast Members stationed at the kiosk to help with any questions you might have!
