Step into the new year! While touring the stores in the Magic Kingdom this morning, we spotted these adorable children’s sneakers, which seem to have been designed by Minnie Mouse herself!

The shoes are classic red with a metallic sparkle, and glitter running through the laces. Minnie Mouse’s autograph decorates the side, and the thick soles make the shoes seem pretty sturdy.

Possibly the cutest feature, however, are the tiny Minnie Mouse charms on the laces. Think Crocs charms, but less controversial. More of these, we excitedly found, are available to buy separately in sets!

There’s a Mickey Mouse set…

A Monsters, Inc. set….

And (my personal favorite), a sparkly “it’s a small world” set!

It’s worth noting that these charms have a more metal feel to them, whereas the Minnie charm on the shoes is a bit more plastic. To attach, the lace feeds through the charm like a bead, so they aren’t going anywhere once they’re on!

See?

I like this, because it means that the charms can be affixed to any shoes, not specifically these ones. So even adults can get in on the trend!

The shoes cost $29.99 (children’s sizes only) and the charms are $9.99 a set. The collection can be found at Big Top Souvenirs in the Magic Kingdom, and I can’t help but wonder if this has something to do with the demand for dry clothing so close to the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak play area?

While you’re here, why not check out our latest finds in the new “Park Life” merchandise range? The colorfully-designed collection of apparel, accessories, homeware and more is sweeping the US parks at the moment, and can’t be missed!
