With the present and future of EPCOT ever-evolving, various changes have taken place, including new store locations and modified offerings. This morning, a new temporary MouseGear location opened with the closure of the old fan favorite store. Additionally, the temporary EPCOT Character Spot closed today, and in its stead, a number of new character meet and greet locations have opened, with Mickey and Joy now meeting inside the Imagination! pavilion. Other characters like Minnie, Goofy, and Daisy, are now meeting throughout the park.
New “Evolving EPCOT” Times Guide 2020
The latest times guide lists new offerings under “Evolving EPCOT”.
Goofy – Near Spaceship Earth
Goofy meets at the main entrance, just off the side of Spaceship Earth where the former Art of Disney store used to be, intermittently from 9:00 AM to 8:30 PM.
Daisy – Near Innoventions East (Temporary MouseGear)
Daisy Duck will now be meeting at Future World East, near the new temporary MouseGear location. Her meeting hours are 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:10 PM – 4:30 PM.
Minnie – World Showcase Plaza Gazebo
Minnie Mouse now meets intermittently at the Showcase Plaza gazebo from 9:00 AM to 8:30 PM.
Temporary EPCOT Character Spot Now Closed
The former temporary EPCOT Character Spot is now closed, with a tarp over the sign and additional signage on the now-closed doors.
The signage directs guests over to the Imagination! pavilion for character greetings, where you can find:
- Joy now meets sans-Sadness inside her Imagination Land backdrop in ImageWorks, where you can also find Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope intermittently from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Mickey Mouse now meets at his new film strip-inspired backdrop inside Imagination! from 9:00 AM to park close.
