A new flavor of seasonal beignets is now available from Scat Cat’s Club and Café at Port Orleans French Quarter. Red Hot Beignets are now available for a limited time, but that’s not even the best part. You can get these sweet treats with Fireball Whiskey. That’s right, these beignets can be ordered with alcohol. Forget chocolate, Valentine’s Day is all about the beignet.

This looks like the perfect grown up snack for a “red hot” date night, right?

Red Hot Beignets are available inside Scat Cat’s Club and Café. It’s usually pretty quiet in here, and makes for the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a few booze-filled beignets.

In the display case on the counter, you’ll find the non-alcoholic, Mickey-shaped red hot beignet is available for $2.99. The alcoholic version comes with two beignets (perfect for sharing) and two syringes of Fireball for $9.99. That seems like a pretty decent deal, considering Disney alcohol and snack prices.

Hot, fluffy beignets are drizzled in a spicy, cinnamon Red Hots flavored glaze and then topped with crushed Red Hots. These pillows of fried dough are delicious on their own, but we can’t wait to add the Fireball whiskey.

You can either drizzle the Fireball over the beignet, or inject it. We decided we would try both options.

The hot cinnamon flavor is strong when you get a bite with a lot of candy or icing, but the alcohol brings it up a few notches. We started by adding drops of the liquor to each bite as we went along. This process kept them fresh and allowed us more control over the alcohol distribution. The Fireball creates a strong, burning sensation that adds to the powerful flavor of the tiny Red Hot candies. We accidentally oversqueezed the tube and flooded the center of the other beignet a little too quickly. You’ll get quite a mouthful of cinnamon whiskey if you decide to go this route, so be prepared. It was a bit overwhelming, and made the dough soggy, so we would recommend adding the alcohol slowly.

You’ll lose some of the alcohol, but luckily beignets are absorbent and you can soak it up with the dough. We recommend grabbing a Coke from Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory before you order your beignets, though. If you don’t add all the alcohol to the beignets, you can always finish it off with a Coke afterwards. The beignets are good with the alcohol, but even better without. We definitely got a delicious snack and a nice buzz from this unique new alcoholic beignet.
