President’s Day is just hours away, Sam Eagle! He still has just a little more time to open his very American barbecue joint in time for President George Washington’s birthday. But for now, let’s check in for our latest construction update for Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts and Barbecue.
The outside of the upcoming restaurant is still covered by scrim and shrubbery on top of the new staircase.
Walking from Japan in the World Showcase, you can see bunting and the still-covered restaurant sign.
The brown slanted structure that will help control smoke coming off the large black barbecue smoker has been moved into place. We can already smell the barbecue!
Behind the smoker, you can see the entrance of the restaurant.
We want to see the sign, already!
Elsewhere in the area, an umbrella is ready to block the Florida sun and picnic tables are ready to be unwrapped. There’s also a sign on the ground we’re sure we’ll see soon.
At the ordering and pickup windows, signage is unwrapped — and it looks great!
Do you think Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts and Barbecue will be ready for a President’s Day opening? Let us know in the comments. Personally, we won’t hold our breath.
Do you think it will offer an allergy menu? Epcot QS overall is a wasteland if you are gluten free, would love another option since Electric Umbrella closed (say what you will about it, at least they had GF buns for my kiddo).
