Construction progresses on new Magic Kingdom walkways and entrance features. We rode the monorail to see the construction and bring you the best views of the progress.
Coming into the Magic Kingdom, there’s still a long way to go until this walkway to Disney’s Contemporary Resort is complete.
This area nearby looks like it’s waiting it’s turn for big changes.
Plumbing has been marked off, and work seems to be progressing nicely.
The wooden framing toward the middle of the photo has been added.
Closer to the gate, the circular structure is taking shape and rebar was added to the perimeter. We can’t wait to see what this becomes! Is it a new landscaping feature?
In the center of the gate area is another scrimmed section, enclosing more improvements. Â This existing structure is being used for storage.
The center construction section shows upright supports have gone in.
We see a skeleton of a planter on the left of the supports.
On the other side of the monorail, closest to the water, we see a retaining wall being constructed near the future boat dock.
Next to the resort boat launch is a hub of activity.
Behind the green beams, the walkway between Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and the Magic Kingdom is coming along!
We’re excited to see all of the new changes coming to the entrance of Magic Kingdom. Stay tuned as see more construction reach completion.
