Regal Eagle, the new fast casual restaurant coming to the American Pavilion in EPCOT is inching towards the finish line this week. We expected it to open over the weekend because, you know, its President’s Day today, but alas, it seems we will have to wait a couple more days. We previewed the upcoming menus for both the walk-up bar and fast casual restaurant and it’s a spread that Sam Eagle himself would be proud of.
Umbrellas are a new addition today. The blue pattern goes great with the red and white draped bunting to form a subtle hint at the American flag. Last time we checked, there was still a sliver of a construction wall that seems to have been removed now and replaced with rolling hedges, signaling just another closer step to opening.
Tables are pretty much in place, surrounding the meat smoker. You can even see cast members mulling over final decisions in anticipation of opening.
A closer look at some of the taps reveal some of the American brews Regal Eagle will feature. American beers like Fat Tire, Shiner, Sierra Nevada and Samuel Adams are just a few. We can also see the frozen drink machines have been installed which makes us a little thirsty for a Frozen Mint Julep!
This is sure to become a popular spot for those seeking a little halfway-around-World-Showcase-pit-stop. Smelling the billowing aroma of the smoked brisket will be tough to pass up.
It can’t be long now, we were hoping for this weekend, but it seems like we aren’t too far away from being able to taste and witness the grand opening of the Regal Eagle Smokehouse.
