Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and Amorette’s Patisserie has prepared a brand new “Bella Notte” Petit Cake just for the occasion. This spaghetti-topped cake is perfect for sharing with the one you love.
The famous spaghetti scene from “Lady and the Tramp” is featured on the front of this cake. The edible image is really clear and pops against the gold heart and red cake. They even had a little piece of spaghetti between them.
Amorette’s Patisserie does an amazing job of decorating these cakes. Inside, the cake is made up of layers of vanilla chiffon cake, chocolate biscuit, dark chocolate mousse, pistachio mousse, cherry pate de fruit, and candied pistachios.
Modeling chocolate is used to make up the spaghetti and meatballs, which is so much better than a pile of fondant.
These layers are beautiful and easy to distinguish. The candied pistachios and cherry pate de fruit give the cake two added textures besides fluffy cake and creamy mousse. The pate de fruit is a bit chewy and the pistachios give an added crunch to the cake.
The cherry and dark chocolate flavors stand out at first bite, but are balanced out by the vanilla chiffon cake and pistachio mousse. This was one of the best petit cakes we’ve had from Amorette’s Patisserie, combining familiar flavors for a simple, yet sophisticated, dessert. Each element works together for a delicious cake you can fall in love over.
It might be difficult to recreate the scene from “Lady and the Tramp” with cake, but it’s worth a shot.
