Disney College Program Blockout Lifted For Disney’s Hollywood Studios Today

After the shocking news yesterday that all Disney College Program participants’ programs will be concluded immediately, Disney appears to have thrown the departing students a surprise. This time, however, it appears to be a good surprise.

Disney College Program participants are now able, albeit on the last day of their terminated program, to enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The park has been blocked out for DCP’s for a large part of their program. This surprise opening is just for outgoing Disney College Program participants, as this does not apply to regular Cast Members who are still blocked out. Disney College Program participants are advised to bring their Blue Disney ID and Housing ID to enter the park.

If you happen to see some Disney College Program Cast Members around the park, who have been seen today wearing their College Program name tags, thank them for their work at Disney. This is a tough day for them.

  1. It would be nice if Disney cared about the regular cast members too and allowed them to stay home after their shifts from the parks today but instead they are on call I’m assuming for crowd control at Disney springs! Makes no sense to put them in harms way and shows no consideration for their health or what they may then may pass on to others. They should be able to be home as states suggest and help this virus pass not allow it to spread even more!

  2. how nice of Iger / Chapek – to be thoughtful of cast members who are being thrown out of housing in four days – to come enjoy themselves on the last day of operations.
