    • I just called Disney and they said this did not qualify – I had bought my tickets separately from my room reservation and not a “vacation package” and they said it did not qualify. What was stated above “a vacation package or room reservation to stay at a Disney Resort hotel from March 16 through May 31, 2020” is not correct – it has to be a vacation package. Boy was I disappointed.

  1. We are DVC members and we were told we will not get the free dining even though our plans were disrupted and all the rules were followed.

  2. I understand it’s an existing part of dining packages, but there’s NO FRICKIN’ WAY they are handing out refillable drink mugs as early as June 1st, right?

  3. Walt Disney World needs to offer some other credit or discount for people that are affected by the closure who cannot take advantage of the free dining or at least let it be combined with other discount offers. In order to take advantage of the free dining, my trip would be almost a $1000 more, and my original trip included a dining plan. This just does not seem to be a very good offer and Disney World could offer people something a bit more in a goodwill gesture.

  4. Mike, you might look into this further with DVC directly – but normally, if you’re using points to stay in a DVC room you can’t also get any other big discount like free dining. They consider the points used for the room to be a discount already. If staying elsewhere without points, though, you’d then be able to get free dining (and just use the DVC member card for discount perks wherever you can during the trip).

  5. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS, It says all guests, but its a lie!!! I just called and talked to Stella (supervisor) and we were told we do not qualify. We booked for a week in April and moved our vacation to August. We were staying on Disney property and met the criteria but they said we did not because we used a company to help us book this package! I am considering just cancelling the entire trip at this point. We already had to break it to our 5 year old twins we were not able to go and now this! Not the magical first trip we thought of when we originally booked last September!!

  6. I contacted Disney about my April 2-7 trip as an AP, they told me 15% off my renewal…and that my AP is more than 2 days so you do not have to pay for a 2 day pass.

  7. We had our end of March trip cancelled but our tickets were not refunded, just extended. I just called and Disney told me that I would need to purchase a new set of tickets to take advantage of the free dining plan and save the ones they did not refund for a later trip. This offer is obviously a joke.

  8. To get the “free” dining, you have to pay full price for the room. I had a discounted room so I would have to give up the discount and pay rack rate. That would add an additional $1500 for my reservation for the “free”dining plan.
