As reported by the Orlando Business Journal, the hotel furloughed 835 workers upon closing on March 24, according to a notice posted online by the state on April 7. The reason given for the furlough was “unforeseeable, unanticipated and substantial reduction in business levels” linked to the Coronavirus pandemic.
