Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Furloughs 835 Employees Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic Closures

Amidst a wave of furloughs across Walt Disney World Resort and throughout the theme park industry in Orlando and beyond, the Four Seasons Resort Orlando has furloughed most of its employees due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic closures.

As reported by the Orlando Business Journal, the hotel furloughed 835 workers upon closing on March 24, according to a notice posted online by the state on April 7. The reason given for the furlough was “unforeseeable, unanticipated and substantial reduction in business levels” linked to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Four Seasons Resort Orlando has the following statement posted on their home page:

According to the notice, the resort expects to begin accepting reservations for guests arriving May 1 and onward, a full month ahead of the June 1 date established for future reservations by Walt Disney World Resort. For questions related to upcoming reservations, call 1 (800) 267-3046.
