This year, April 22nd will mark the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. In recognition of the occasion, Disneyland Paris has announced that it will be dedicating this entire week to the environment by sharing activities and broadcasts via their social media platforms.

Since the resort is closed “until further notice”, Disneyland Paris is unable to carry out any commemorative activities in the parks. However, the resort has been upping their online presence lately with the launch of the “Disneyland Paris at Home” website, and has promised other special releases in commemoration of Earth Day this year. According to the official Disneyland Paris News website, “guests can learn more about the resort’s commitments as a sustainable and responsible member of the community, find out about how the Magic Keepers on our horticulture team are maintaining the magic at Disneyland Paris, [and] enjoy some fun themed activities and participate in special broadcasts of nature-inspired Disney shows”. All this can be accessed by staying tuned to the Disneyland Paris Facebook page throughout the week.

The activities began today when Disneyland Paris shared a throwback video of the gorgeous Earth Month pre-show to Disney Illuminations from 2019. The stunning special was projected on to Sleeping Beauty Castle before the nighttime spectacular in Disneyland Parc throughout April last year. Scenes from Disneynature films such as “Grizzly”, “The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos”, and “Oceans” were put together with Disney clips and music to create an inspiring celebration of nature, and it is definitely worth the watch!
