Walt Disney World has just received approval from the state for its phased reopening starting on July 11.
The letter was officially signed off by Halsey Beshears, Secretary of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, on behalf of Governor Ron DeSantis.
Walt Disney World became the last major central Florida theme park to present and submit its phased reopening plans to the county for approval. Walt Disney World plans to reopen Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as well as select resorts on July 11. On July 15, EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will reopen. DVC resorts are scheduled to reopen on June 22.
Granted government approval of its phased reopening, Walt Disney World can now proceed with further official announcements regarding dates, reservations, and more. You can read the full details on reopening dates and guidelines by clicking here.
Keep in mind that just because the Parks open July 11 and 15th, you MAY not be able to get into the Parks. Entrance is now by reservation only and nobody knows yet how many people are allowed to enter the parks on any given day. The Reservation System isn’t up and running yet so just chill and keep your masks clean and at the ready for when you are able to visit a Park.
