It was a foggy start to the day, but we were eager to see how Day Two crowds would be handled at World of Disney.

Parking lot line

With Orange Parking Garage opening at 8am and Lime Parking Garage opening at 12pm, cars lined up along the road to try to be one of the first ones in to park and make the mad dash to World of Disney. Opening day crowds yesterday lined up to sign up for the virtual queue to enter the store when it opened at 10am. At one point, the line––socially distanced, of course––stretched all the way across Disney Springs to the Christmas Store!

World of Disney enter

Luckily today, there were no such lines or crowds. Guests were shown directly in to the store, despite the fact that World of Disney didn’t technically open for another two hours. We were told that once capacity was reached, which at this time is 400 people, the virtual queue would begin.

Virtual queue

Disney has also made it easier to enter the virtual queue, posting Cast Members ready to assist you at all 4 entrances to Disney Springs capable of getting you signed up.

Graduation Mickey

Once inside World of Disney, we took our time to go through the store with a fine tooth comb for any new merchandise. This fun graduation-themed Mickey Mouse plush was a popular item, similar to the graduation themed Stitch from yesterday. Stitch must have sold out, because we couldn’t find any of him.

Movie books

Another piece of merchandise that we have been eagerly awaiting finally arrived today, these beautiful hardbound animated feature film book replicas. Each one is unique to the story, with illuminated text as seen in the beginning scenes of the films. For more pictures and details, read the full article here.

Oh bother

Seeing social distancing and health and safety reminders around Disney Springs can sometimes be jarring, but we’re just happy to be back.

We found lots of new youth merchandise, two different lines in fact! We almost wish these Crocs came in our size.

Coop walkin

Next, we checked out the Marketplace Co-Op, which was also letting people in early in an attempt to keep the crowds to a minimum. A virtual queue is on standby there as well, but the only sign-up location is the front door of the Co-Op.

Made kiosk

We checked out the MaDe kiosk to see if there was anything new, but didn’t find much other than a lack of sanitization in between guests. Make sure to use the nearby provided hand sanitizer after designing your perfect Disney wearables!

First dole whip back

Nothing helps beat the Florida summer heat like a Dole Whip float, does it? This one wasn’t pretty, but I can assure you it tasted just fine.

Ducks on stage

We also got to watch one of our favorite shows: Disney ducks! These lovely ladies were taking a morning nap on the stage. We’ve often thought about the little baby ducklings we saw right before the closure in Magic Kingdom. How big are those ducklings by now, we wonder?

Arribas art

We stopped in Arribas Brothers and took a moment to admire this beautiful Crystela piece of a Giant Cuban Iguana. It is comprised of approximately 59,150 crystals, and weighs 47.62 pounds!

Cleaning 1

Cast Members at Disney Springs have been working tirelessly to keep everything cleaned and sanitized, and everywhere you look they’re there, wiping things down. Thank you for keeping us safe!

Princess fans

These fans from Royally Yours caught our eye today as another way to beat the heat, quite literally in this instance. We might have to pick one up next time we’re there!

City works construction 1

Construction on the outdoor seating area at CityWorks was underway yesterday, but seemed to be on hold today. Three metal uprights were installed yesterday.

Balloons hero

We had a great day at Disney Springs, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us! Have you been to Disney Springs since it began its phased reopening? Let us know in the comments!

  1. ugh!!! was there on tge 28th, arrived around 1:00 and all the graduation plush were sold out. my daughter was so bummed, as Co-Valedictorian of her class she was hoping to have either Mickey or Minnie at her graduation on June 13.

  2. I must say, a not-so-pretty Dole Whip is better than no Dole Whip at all! Looks beautiful from here!😍Where are they selling them in The Springs?
