While the domestic resorts are pretty well-known at this point for releasing merchandise every year with the date on it, this hasn’t really been a thing at Tokyo Disney Resort before. That is, until this year. A whole slew of merchandise with “Tokyo Disneyland 2020” is set to hit shelves once the parks open, according to Disney Fan, the official Disney magazine in Japan. There’s quite a few neat items in here, perfect for advertising that you visited Tokyo Disneyland in 2020 (if any of us are so lucky). They feature motifs from all four new attractions coming to New Fantasyland – Mickey’s Magical Music World at the Fantasyland Forest Theater, Minnie’s Style Studio, The Happy Ride with Baymax, and The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast. So let’s take a deeper look! Please note that since these are magazine scans, the resolutions may not be ideal for some smaller items.

They went a rather minimal direction compared to the normal merchandise lines here at Tokyo Disney Resort. But it’s nice to see them getting in on the year thing. It just begs the question – will this continue in 2021 or is it only for New Fantasyland this year? We’ll find out. In the meantime, you’ll likely be able to pick these up soon after Tokyo Disneyland reopens, whenever that may be.
