Disney is teaming up with legendary song writer Lionel Richie for a project that will bring his music to the big screen in a new film currently titled “All Night Long”. The film will feature the title song as well as many of Richie’s most popular hits and is currently in an early stage of development at Disney.

Lionel Richie is currently one of the judges for ABC’s “American Idol” and discussed the idea with Disney executives back in January. Pete Chilarelle (“Crazy Rich Asians”) will be writing the screenplay for the film.
