Universal’s Islands of Adventure
- We have been closely monitoring the construction progress on the upcoming “Velocicoaster” in Jurassic Park, with the latest update being the installation dinosaur-shaped rockwork
CityWalk
- We reviewed the tropical, passholder-exclusive Pina Colada Doughnut from Voodoo Doughnut
- The Universal Cinemark theater at CityWalk will be reopening on July 3, offering $5 showings of “Jaws”, “Back to the Future”, “Ghostbusters” and more
Other Universal Orlando News
- The Running Universal featuring DreamWorks Animation’s “Trolls” 5k, 10k and 1k races have now gone virtual, and registration has now opened for the events
Universal Studios Japan
- Universal Studios Japan have now exited their soft-opening phase, implementing new procedures as it moves forward
- To mark the occasion, Osaka Prefecture Governor Hirofumi Yoshimura visited the resort this week
- A mask-free area has been set aside within the park
- Photos have emerged, showing Yoshi within the upcoming Super Nintendo World
- Universal Studios Japan has announced that proceeds from certain meals during their soft opening will be donated to the Osaka Prefecture COVID-19 Fund
New Merchandise
- Ahead of the plastic bag tax, Universal Studios Japan is introducing fun, reusable “My Bags”, which feature Jaws, Snoopy, Minions and more
- Guests can create and personalize Apple Watch bands, phone cases and magnets at the U-Design kiosks scattered throughout Universal Orlando Resort
- A Universal Studios Florida lithograph poster and Universal Studios Hollywood button set have debuted at Universal Orlando Resort
