Lin-Manuel Miranda Releases Official “Hamilton” Trailer for Disney+

If you’ve ever wanted to be in the room where it happens, now is your chance. On July 3, Hamilton will be released on Disney+, and the creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, has just posted the official trailer for the long-awaited #Hamilfilm.

The performance was filmed in the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway back in June 2016 and will feature the original Broadway cast, starring Daveed Diggs, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Leslie Odom Jr., Christopher Jackson, Jonathan Groff, Phillip Soo, Jasmine Cephas, Okieriete Onadowan, Anthony Ramos and of course, Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hamilton himself.

With all of the hype leading up to this much anticipated digital release, you will have to make sure you have a Disney+ subscription to enjoy this 11 Tony Award-winning musical, as Disney+ has pulled any offer of a free 7-day trial period at this time.

Without the free trial being offered, fans will have to purchase a month-to-month subscription package costing $6.99 for Disney+, or a bundle package of Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu for $12.99. This is overall cheaper than a ticket to the movie theaters, where the film version of the musical was originally going to be released, or a ticket to actually see the musical live on stage.

If you’re ready to turn your house into a sing-along about the ten-dollar founding father on July 3, let us know in the comments!
