EA has just announced their next Star Wars video game, “Star Wars: Squadrons,” with an action-packed trailer.

The trailer promises a first-person game focused on the pilots of the Star Wars universe, opening in the middle of an intense chase between an X-Wing and TIE fighter. While a single-player campaign option will be available, the game is made for 5v5 multiplayer dogfights. You’ll be able to fly New Republic or Imperial ships, modifying them to your liking, and climb the ranks of your squadron to unlock new game components.

EA’s last Star Wars game, “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order,” was released late last year to critical success. EA also produced “Star Wars: Battlefront” and “Star Wars Battlefront II. The latter game was the first game developed by Motive Studios, who will also be working on “Star Wars: Squadrons.”

The game will be released on PC and consoles in the fall. EA is likely to release more information about the new game during their EA Play live virtual event on June 18.
