With all American Disney Parks still closed, many are missing a theme park Fourth of July. Well, never fear because we have 10 great patriotic Disney experiences for you to enjoy right from home!

10. The Carousel of Progress

You’re not the only family getting ready for the Fourth of July! In fact, Mother and Father over at the Carousel of Progress have been getting their costumes on for 25 years. Though the 4th only shows up in a segment of the show, what’s more American than progress?

9. Voices of Liberty

There’s nothing like hearing some classic American tunes echoing through the lobby of the American Adventure, and “Voices of Liberty” has always sung them beautifully.

8. Disneyland’s 4th of July Flag Retreat Ceremony

Military marching bands on Main Street! Add the Dapper Dans and you have yourself one rousing show.

7. America Sings

Gone but not forgotten, “America Sings” moved into the Carousel of Progress building at Disneyland in 1974. Let the original Sam the Eagle (sorry Muppets) take you on a whimsical ride through America’s musical past!

6. Liberty Square Music

What better music to grill your hotdogs (or turkey legs!) to than the original source audio for The Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square!

5. The Hall of Presidents

Perhaps listening to Liberty Square music has got you in the mood to mosey on over to The Hall of Presidents and let 45 audio-animatronics explain our country’s formation of their office and the power it holds.

4. Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln

Sure “Hall of Presidents” is the bigger spectacle, but you sometimes can’t beat the original. Starting as a show for the 64/65 World’s Fair, Lincoln moved to Disneyland in 1965 and has mostly been there ever since.

If you’re a lover of “Great Moments,” make sure to check out Andrew Kiste’s book all about the creation of this classic attraction! Andrew also chatted about Lincoln on WDWNT’s podcast “Dreamfinders.

3. Disney 4th of July Fireworks!

It’s quite the bummer that fireworks have been canceled all over the country this year, so why not enjoy some of the best ever, offered from the comfort of your living room!

2. The Muppets Present…Great Moments in American History!

With irreverent retellings of Paul Revere’s ride and the forming of the Declaration of Independence, the Muppets do what they do best (to the chagrin of Sam the American Eagle of course) .

1. The American Adventure

One of the most complex shows ever built by Imagineering, “The American Adventure” remains a beautiful look at the rocky evolution of America throughout time.

Want to know more about the attraction? Check out this behind the scenes special that originally aired on the Disney Channel in 1987 and features Imagineering Legends like Marty Sklar and Randy Bright!
